The Algaeus is a modified plug-in hybrid Toyota Prius that, instead of unleaded, uses an algal biofuel developed by Sapphire Energy.

Does it say 150mpg on the car?  Shocked

This algae biofuel doesn't have a lot of the downfalls that ethanol has. For example, you don't need fresh water or farmland to grow this fuel!

The company is also working on an algae fuel for airplanes! Read more about the Algaeus
